Welcome to The Association of Black Arbitration Professionals (ABAP) web database!
We are excited to have you join our community and become a part of our mission dedicated to creating a space for Black arbitration professionals to reside. Our aim is to increase the numbers of arbitration counsel, experts, arbitrators, corporate counsel and arbitral institution personnel of African descent (in particular in the Americas) and to promote as well as showcase the professional development of arbitration professionals who are members of the African diaspora worldwide.
This guide will walk you through the steps to join the ABAP web database and start benefiting from its resources.
Step 1: Visit the ABAP Website. Open your preferred web browser and visit the official website of The Association of Black Arbitration Professionals: https://abapweb.org
Step 2: Navigate to the ABAP Database Section. Click here [add link] or look for the section in the main menu or highlighted on our homepage. Click on the link or button that will take you to the web database page.
Step 3: Register as a Member on the Web Database Page. You will find a registration form to become a member. Fill out the required fields, such as your name, email address, location and any additional information requested. Make sure to review the terms of service and privacy policy before proceeding. If you agree, check the corresponding box and click on the “Register” or “Join” button.
Step 4: Verify Your Email Address. After completing the registration form, a confirmation email will be sent to the email address you provided. Open your email inbox and look for the message from ABAP. If you don’t see the email in your inbox, check your spam or junk folder. This email also contains the new username and password to access the ABAP Database.
Step 5: Set Up Your Profile. Using the new credentials, you can now Sign into ABAP’s web database platform. Take a moment to customize your profile. Upload a professional photo and provide relevant information about yourself, such as your professional background, expertise, and any other details you want to share. A complete and engaging profile will help you connect with other members and showcase your expertise.
Step 6: Explore the Web Database. Now that you have successfully joined the ABAP web database, take some time to explore its features and resources. Familiarize yourself with the navigation menu, search functions, and categories available. You can browse through member profiles, access our blog articles or resources, participate in discussions, and network with other professionals in the field of arbitration.
Step 7: Engage and Contribute. ABAP encourages active participation within its community. Engage in discussions, share your expertise, and contribute to the collective knowledge of the association.
